About me.

Hello and welcome. For those who don't know me, my name is Santi. I have always been a creative person and over the years the art of Italian mosaics have capture a great deal of my artistic voice. As a visionary artist, I rely on  drafting, sketching and coloring skills to bring an image into the third dimension for a mosaic, so it is natural that I execute images in watercolors, oils and other mediums during the artistic process. Most of my clients are local people of where I am living at the time. I have been lucky to have lived in San Francisco where I had my studio for many years and have amassed many clients in the city by the bay.  Moving to New York City proved challenging to keep my clients at bay. Having an e-store was the natural move to keep people engaged with my new work and my artistic development. When you purchase a piece from me, whether is a big work  of art or a smaller houseware piece from the  crayonfou studio; you are supporting a whole industry of people that keep the Italian mosaic industry alive. From the glass maker who rolls the slabs of glass to the people who make the tools and other artisans who keep this disappearing art form alive but you are also getting a unique piece that is art. Art that will laugh at time as mosaic is an medium that outlives humanity.
